Board of Trustees

The Mount Prospect Library is governed by a board of seven publicly elected officials who set policy, obtain adequate funding of Library Services and hire and evaluate the executive director for the Library. The Board of Library Trustees meets the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Library. Meetings are open, and the public is welcome to attend. The 3/26/20 meeting of the Board of Library Trustees will be held without a quorum of Library Trustees physically present. The Library Trustees will conduct the Board meeting with Library Trustees attending remotely via electronic means. This method of conducting the Board meeting is authorized by Executive Order of the Governor (COVID-19 Executive Order No. 5, March 16, 2020). As per the Executive Order, we are postponing regular public business and only focusing on the current COVID-19 situation.
