Summer Reading 2026 Teen Volunteers

Every spring the library looks for teens who will be entering grades 7-12 in the fall to help greet families, register children, hand out prizes, and more during our summer reading program. Volunteer shifts run the duration of the summer reading program, and all volunteers must complete mandatory training before their first shift.

The Friends of the Mount Prospect Public Library Volunteers

Consider volunteering for the Friends. The Friends of the Mount Prospect Public Library is a growing group that actively supports programs and initiatives of the library with funds made possible by generous members and dedicated volunteers. The Friends are currently looking for volunteers to help with book sales and an individual to help coordinate volunteers for events and activities.

The Mount Prospect Public Library Foundation Volunteers 

Consider helping the Mount Prospect Public Library Foundation. Your support for the Foundation allows the library to continue to provide exciting programs and services not possible through public funding. The Foundation is looking for help with special events and behind-the-scenes projects. They are also seeing individuals interested in joining the board.
