Get Started

We have staff and guides for all educators.

If you work with youth in another capacity, such as at a park district, faith organization, or scout troops, etc., we can also provide services. To get connected to the right staff member, send an email to schooloutreach@mppl.org with more information about your organization and what services you are interested in, and we’ll take it from there!

The Mount Prospect Public Library has resources and staff to support all educators. We can provide materials, story times, classroom presentations, and more.

School Visit Request

We are excited to offer in-person visits to the library for class field trips.

Visits to the library are tailored to your needs—you can jump-start a research project or genre study with expert guidance from our staff, take a tour of our spaces, or enjoy a storytime, puppet show, and time to play.

We can also bring all the resources of the library to you! We can provide book talks, storytimes, storytelling, database demonstrations, library card registration, and much more. Library staff are also available for parent/teacher nights, literacy nights, STEAM nights and other special events.
