Mom and Dad are getting ready for the new baby, and Liam and Noah are twins who are always together. Maggie loves animals and can’t wait to get her own pet that she can take care of. Too bad she is allergic! Maggie tries different kinds of pets, but nothing seems to work out. Then she tries secretly keeping a mouse, but she is allergic to it too. Maggie also has to go to a new school and has a hard time making friends. This is a realistic story with a positive ending. I was rooting for Maggie.
