Energize Your Spring at the Library

Woo-hoo! Spring is on its way.

We’re here to make it easy for you, your kids, and your whole family to grow curiosity and connection. Together, we’ll learn through new experiences, play, and fun!

We’ve got a ton of free, flexible options for you to try this spring: storytimes, music, STEM, book clubs, parties. Whatever your child’s interest, we try to create something just for them. Our community is full of unique, creative children!

What’s more, we are very lucky to be part of a community full of diverse cultures and backgrounds. We love that here in Mount Prospect, folks can live out the American freedom that people throughout the last two centuries worked hard to build. It’s amazing to see so many different traditions – and at the same time, we recognize that we all share many things, including special celebrations with family and friends.

Learn and celebrate with our Mount Prospect community at library programs such as Hoop Dancing and Storytelling presented by Starr Chief Eagle, Celebrate Eid al-Fitr, and our rollicking, colorful Kids Fiesta to honor Día del Niño (Children’s Day).

And be sure to take advantage of all of our opportunities for spring break fun. Our calendar is chock-full, but we’ll give you a sneak peek at an extra-special program here. Even if your family isn’t full of Minecrafters, you’ll enjoy our screen-free Minecraft Party that’s packed with hands-on activities like beading and building, plus “real” mining and digging to uncover your own gemstone (Wednesday evening | Thursday morning).
