The Mount Prospect Public Library summer reading program takes place from June 1 through August 15!

This summer, explore your world as you read beyond the beaten path! Join the summer reading program at the Mount Prospect Public Library and get prizes just for reading!

Starting June 1st, you can register online, through the Beanstack app, or in person at the library; the youth program is for children in grades 5 and younger, including babies and toddlers.

Once you register, all you need to do is count the number of days you read, or someone reads to you. Check in at the library after every 10 days of reading and get a prize, such as a magnifying glass, or binoculars. Once you’ve completed 30 days of reading, come back in to get a book to keep, and a chance to win a grand prize!

Grand prize baskets include Maker Madness, Family Games, World Explorer, Outdoor Fun, and a basket for babies and toddlers. Grand prize winners will be announced on July 31st. Reading doesn’t stop after you reach 30 days—keep reading and checking in for additional prizes. Y

ou can also participate in activities at the Main Library or South Branch, such as attending a program, completing a scavenger hunt, taking a walk outdoors, and more! You can also try your luck with our guess how many contest.

Hike on over to the library to sign up for summer reading, starting June 1st!
