Position will shelve AV materials and special collections. Position assists Circulation Department with AV workroom duties. This position also may perform Circulation workroom duties as assigned. Requires excellent computer and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree required. Supervisory and library experience a plus. IMRF position. $32,000 annual pay.

Part time Readers’ Advisory Assistant position available for someone who enjoys books, movies, and music and likes to talk about them. The job includes staffing a busy public service desk fulfilling requests from both Adults and Teens for popular materials. In addition it includes responsibilities for: materials selection assistance, library instruction, compiling reader aids, assembling book displays, maintaining files, assisting with event preparation and execution. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, writing and speaking skills, skill with working as part of a team, and skill with the use of a computer. Bachelor’s Degree is required. $14.65 per hour.

Substitute Patron Assistant position available. This position is responsible for providing basic information services: ready reference, reader’s advisory and information and referral. Position includes staffing the public service desk, library instruction, compiling/assembling patron aids, developing bibliographic aids, maintaining files, performing circulation/registration functions, and providing basic computer/office equipment troubleshooting. There is extensive contact with the public within the Library and Community Connections Center. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to access, input and retrieve data from the computer required. Bachelor’s Degree required. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required. Ability to speak conversational Spanish required. Proficiency in other languages a plus. $14.65 hourly pay.

Substitute hours will be scheduled between the hours of 11 am and 7 pm, including some weekends.
