Although the building will be closed, you still have 24/7 access to conduct research with our online resources, register for upcoming programs, renew items and place holds at www.mppl.org. Need a book? Pick up an e-book or e-audiobook through MyMediaMall at any time. The Library will reopen on Monday (April 2) at 9 a.m.

EASTER EGG HUNT: Little bunnies and lambs 2- 5-years-old and 6 – 8-years old can hunt for goodies on Friday (March 30) 3 p.m. at Mount Prospect Ice Arena (1501 Feehanville Drive.) This is a non-ice event. Bring a basket to collect eggs!

SPECIAL DELIVERY FROM THE EB: A basket full of treats can be hand delivered by the Easter Bunny himself  to River Trails Park District residents on Saturday (March 31) from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Surprise your family with this special moment. The cost is $16/first child and $10/additional child.

READY PLAYER ONE SCAVENGER HUNT: From now until Thursday (April 5) teens and adults can search the Main Branch of Mount Prospect Public Library (10 S. Emerson St.) and the Library’s website for clues. The further along participants get in the hunt, the more points they earn. Players will watch the score board online, and the highest scorers will win an AMC gift card. Start the scavenger hunt here: http://mppl.org/rpo. No registration is required. RPL EXTRAVAGANZA: Adults ages 18 and over can play the ultimate Ready Player  One event on Monday (April 2) 7 p.m. at Mount Prospect Public Library (10 S. Emerson St.) See if you can get the highest score in Pac Man, try out virtual reality with the Oculus Rift or PlayStation, get a blast from the 80s past, and much more! —-BOWL FOR A CAUSE: Gather some friends for a fun night of bowling on Saturday (March 31) from 6 – 10 p.m. at River Rand Bowl (191 S. River Rd. DP) The 9 – 12 Bowling League Rainbowlers, a LGBTQ bowling league is hosting a fundraiser for Youth Outlook, a social service agency dedicated to the support of LGBTQ youth. —-SENIOR MIXED GOLF SEEKS PLAYERS: If you are age 55 and older and like to play golf, the Mount Prospect/Northwest Suburban Senior Mixed Golf League wants you! The nine-hole league will play Thursday mornings, May 3-Sept. 13 at Arlington Lakes Golf Club (1211 S. New Wilke Rd. AH.) The season begins Thursday (April 26.) with an opening luncheon and ends with a closing luncheon. The fee to join is $60, which covers both luncheons and weekly prizes.
