CRUISIN’: Gather family and friends for an afternoon of relaxation and music.  It’s “Mopar Night” on Saturday (July 10) from 3 – 9 p.m. in the Metra East Lot (SE corner of Emerson St. and Northwest Hwy.). Music is provided by DJ Jose. Buick classic cars in red, purple, and green Bluesmobile Cruise Nights run through September.

FARMERS’ MARKET: This should be part of your Sunday routine by now! Stop by the Market on Sunday (July 11) from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m in the East Commuter Lot (Northwest Hwy. and Emerson St.). Support local producers and one-of-a-kind vendors by stocking up on fruits, veggies, herbs, flowers, and other gourmet goodies. SUMMER SUPPERS: Those in need of a nutritious meal can find one offered by community churches. The free Drive-Thru Community Meals are available from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. the following dates and locations: Saturday (July10) Sikh Religious Society (1280 Winnetka St. PAL.); Monday (July 12) St. Mark Lutheran Church (200 S. SECOND SUNDAYS: Join the Mount Prospect Historical Society on Sunday (July 11) from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on the Museum campus (101 S. Maple St.) for a patriotic craft event. Make red, white and blue paper windsocks (take-and-make kits will be available). You will meet in person, outdoors. The event will be canceled in the case of inclement weather. SUNDAY SONGBOOK SERIES: Join students from High School District 214 on Sunday (July 11) 4 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Bandshell (401 S. Maple St.). They will present “Disney’s Descendants: The Musical,” based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies featuring Disney characters and descendants of famous Disney villains. TWO LANE GEMS: Join award-winning author Theresa L. Goodrich for a great American road trip on Tuesday (July 13) via Zoom and presented by Mount Prospect Public Library.
