  • A front row seat during National Library Week’s Adult Spelling Bee where local celebrities and patrons participate in this fun filled event, which is quickly becoming an annual tradition.
  • Adult Services Staff Recommendations include books featuring mystery thrillers: The 6th Extinction, by James Rollins; The Great Zoo of China, by Matthew Reilly; Pulse, by Jeremy Robinson; In The Woods, by Tana French; and Supernatural Enhancements by Edgar Cantero.   • Youth Services Best Book Recommendations: Lulu’s Mysterious Mission, by Judith Viorst and Kevin Cornell. Other books featuring babysitters include: Mrs. Noodlekugel, by Daniel Pinkwater and Adam Stower; Crimebiters, by Tommy Greenwald; Captain Awesome, by Stan Kirby; Emma Dilemma, by Patricia Hermes; and The Day the Mustache Took Over, by Alan Katz.
  • A tour of Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros which celebrates different cultures and their enjoyment of books; including a book giveaway, snacks, STEAM activities, and a wonderful musical performance by the Cielito Lindo Family Folk Band.
