Winter’s End reviewed by Caitlyn and Daniela

My friends and I read Winter’s End by Jean-Claude Mourlevat. I thought that the beginning was slow and the plot took a long time to reveal itself. For example, at the beginning of the book Milena and Helen went to a boarding school, that was very uneventful. The action starts when Milena runs away with Bartolomeo: a boy she just met. Shortly after that Helen runs off with Milos: a boy she just met. The plot doesn’t mature any more until they find them selves at Jahn’s restaurant. There they find out more about a rebel uprising to destroy an unfair government. This plan needs Milena to inspire people with her voice. along the way you will find out some of the characters ancestors and how that helps them through the story its self. This story was great.
