Join the Club.

Our annual One Book, One Village community read brings us together by reading the same book, sparking lively conversations, and building connections.

This year’s title, The Thursday Murder Club, by Richard Osman, features a group of four unlikely friends who gather weekly to crack cold cases. When a murder takes place in their peaceful community, they find themselves racing the police and navigating twists and turns with their wit, wisdom, and wily ways to uncover the truth.

You’re invited to join us in reading the book and engage with it through a series of programs held throughout October.

Free copies of the book are available to Mount Prospect residents while supplies last. Pick up your copy starting on September 3 during our Book Giveaway Kickoff or afterwards at the Patron Services and Fiction/AV/Teen desks or South Branch. Multiple formats are also available for checkout.

Expand your experience of The Thursday Murder Club through our themed programs where we explore crime investigations; create crafts inspired by the book; discover obscure mysteries and thrillers; solve a whodunit at the library; and celebrate with an after-hours book social.
