The Mount Prospect Public Library continues to take steps to help limit the spread of COVID-19. In a coordinated effort due to the announcement of local school closures, the Main Library will close Saturday, March 14, at 5 p.m. until further notice. South Branch will close at 3 p.m.
Our actions are guided by available science and information from health and infectious disease experts, and the safety of our patrons and staff is our highest priority.
All due dates have been extended for all checked out materials; no new fines will be accrued during this period. Do not return materials while the library is closed. You may keep them until we’re open. Check our website for up-to-date information and library status: www.mppl.org.
You can help:
- Stay home.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Cover coughs and sneezes.
- Respect social distancing (keeping 6 ft. away from each other).
We appreciate your understanding as we work to promote the safest environment at the library.
