Lobby Redesign Will Improve Access and Service

In October the lobby will be undergoing renovations to increase efficiency, improve traffic flow, and allow more self-service stations. Neither the Library nor the lobby will need to close during the construction, and all services will be available. And, of course, staff will always be available to assist you.

The renovations will divide the lobby into two service areas: a staffed service desk and a self-service area.

The staffed desk will include both the Registration and Circulation functions, where you can:

  • check out materials
  • ask questions
  • register for programs, and obtain or renew your Library card

The self-service area will contain:

  • self-checkout stations
  • a shelving area where patrons can pick up held items
  • express public computers
  • scanner
  • copier
