Welcome to MPPL’s Dial-a-Story! We’re here to read to you, wherever and whenever with Dial-a-Story. Call 847-232-8600 to listen to stories, jokes, songs, and more. Some items are read by your librarians, and some by other great narrators, but all have been carefully selected by library staff. Play a free pre-recorded story right from your phone, 24/7. Just call 847-232-8600 and follow the prompts to select the number of what you’d like to listen to. Selections will change monthly.
For the past few years, the Youth Services Department has put on a Best Books program for the Mount Prospect community. While we couldn’t do the typical format this year, we have compiled a list of some our Staff Picks from 2020 covering nonfiction and fiction titles for birth to 6th grade.
If you have circumstances in your life that make going to the library difficult for you, allow us to bring your items to your home. We need at least one way of contacting you (either phone or email). Deliveries are made as staffing allows. It could take up to a week for items to be delivered, depending on when the request is made. Items can be selected and delivered for all family members of any age.
Mount Prospect Public Library offers contactless pickup for material holds and printouts at the Main Library and South Branch.
