Youth Collection Librarian – Youth Services Department

If overseeing a youth collection full of innovative, patron-focused ideas excites you, then this is the place for you. Be an active participant of the Library’s 2018 – 2021 strategic plan’s Collection Initiative. This full time position is responsible for coordinating the youth collection development process under the supervision of the Assistant Department Head including approving orders, holding selector meetings, scheduling vendor visits, managing collection projects, and monitoring weeding and selection. You will also participate in the selection and weeding. The position requires excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited library school with an emphasis in children’s services.  Annual salary of $46,722. IMRF position.
