Finance Manager

Full Time position
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Weekday hours, may include occasional weekend/evening hours.

Do you love libraries and public fund accounting? Are you smart and detail oriented with an interest in leadership? If so, consider joining the Mount Prospect Public Library team as our Finance Manager. This position is responsible for accounting operations, maintaining financial records, creating and monitoring internal controls, budget creation and implementation, and biweekly payroll. We’re looking for someone who is interested in developing practices and procedures and using technology to optimize our fiscal operations.

MPPL has a $10M budget and a team of 150 lively, dedicated staff. The Library is within easy walking distance of Mount Prospect Metra train station.

QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (and/or the equivalent education and work experience) with at least five years of accounting experience in the public sector or a non-profit organization. Experience with governmental fund accounting and payroll is required. Experience with Sage accounting software is a plus.

SALARY: Salary range is $53,000 to $66,000 (actual offer will be commensurate with qualifications and experience).
