Replica weapons must be identifiable as fake from at least 10 feet away.

Costumes should be appropriate for the Library

Please bear in mind that this is an all-ages, family-friendly event.

Cosplay is not consent

Respect other attendees’ personal space; a costume is not an invitation to be touched.

Ask before snapping *

Ask directly for permission before taking anyone’s picture.

Keep this place safe from harassment

Aggressive behavior and unwanted attention will not be tolerated. If you witness this conduct, please tell a FanFest staffer.

Keep an eye on your personal property

The Library is not responsible for lost or stolen items; unattended items will be removed.

The Library is still operating today

Standard rules of Library conduct still apply. Disruptive behavior – which includes simulated combat – can result in being dismissed for the day.

* By taking part in this event, the Mount Prospect Public Library reserves the right to photograph and record/videotape program participants and the right to publish. Please be aware that images and video are for the use of the Library only. This includes, but is not limited to, Library publicity and social media.
