No More Cheddar Biscuits

The windows will be shuttered, the lobster tank drained and forty-some-odd folks will be out of work.  It doesn’t matter that this year’s receipts are better than last year’s, corporate says the tucked away strip-mall restaurant isn’t “meeting expectations.” Manny DeLeon is the Lobster’s manager and he loves his job. All he wants is a flawless final night. It blizzards. Manny’s employees show up late, if they show up at all. Customers are sparse. Last Night at the Lobster chronicles the twelve remaining hours Manny has in the job he loves before he’s demoted to assistant manager at the Olive Garden on Monday.
