Set in Paris, Avenue Montaigne spins together the stories of four individuals trying to break out of their defined roles in society: a beloved day-time soap opera actress that wants to star in films, a high concert pianist who would rather play in hospitals than the concert hall, an older art collector auctioning off his lifelong collection, and finally Jessica, a young wide-eyed dreamer who acts as the common thread between these artists. Funny and breezy yet grounded in thought, this French film is an uplifting romantic comedy about new beginnings. Interested in more World Language Romantic Comedies? See what else the Library owns!
