How Do We Become Who We Are?

The Other Wes Moore book coverThere are two men who grew up in Baltimore by the name of Wes Moore. The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates is about how radically different their lives are. The Wes Moore that wrote this book is a Rhodes scholar, investment banker, a White House fellow, and a decorated combat veteran. He was profiled in the Baltimore Sun at approximately the same time that another Wes Moore was mentioned by the Sun, only this Wes Moore – who grew up in the same neighborhoods and was roughly the same age – was a convicted felon serving time for armed robbery and murder. The Other Wes Moore is a gripping examination of race, class, and nature versus nurture.
