From September 15 to October 15, Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the history, cultures, and contributions of Americans with Spanish, Mexican, Caribbean, Central, and South American ancestry. You’re invited to join us at programs, check out books by Latin American and Hispanic authors, and delve into resources that explore the achievements of Hispanic communities across the United States.  

Family Engineering:  
We’ll highlight examples of impressive feats of engineering by people of Hispanic ancestry. Then you’ll brainstorm, design, build, and test structures to solve problems and help make the world a better place — just like real engineers!

Earthquake Challenge 
Tuesday, September 3, 4:15-5:30 p.m. 
Friday, October 11, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. 
Use recycled materials to construct a building and then use our shake table to see whether it could survive an earthquake.  

Wildlife Crossing  
Saturday, September 28, 2:15-3:30 p.m. 
Thursday, October 3, 1:30-2:45 p.m. 
Put your bridge-building skills to the test by creating a model bridge that animals could use to safely cross roads.  

Super Saturday: Jam with ChangoSnakeDog and Friends  
Saturday, September 7, 10 a.m. 
Celebrate friendship, love, and care for our Earth in this unique multicultural show featuring live music and puppets.

Sing and Dance with Super Stolie  
Monday, September 23, 10 a.m. 
Energize your morning with Super Stolie’s playful English and Spanish songs and activities!  

Bilingual Storytime | Cuentos y Cantos 
Saturday, September 28, 10 a.m. 
Join us for a bilingual storytime for the entire family! Best for families with children ages 10 and younger.
This program will be presented in English and Spanish. 

Creation Station: Ceramic Calaveras | Estación de creación: Calaveras de cerámica  
Thursday, October 10, 1:30-2:30 p.m. or 5:30-6:30 p.m. 
Decorate your own calavera (skull) for Día de Muertos! Best for families with children ages 4 and older.
This program will be presented in English and Spanish. 

Explore and Discover Together: Día de Muertos | Explora y descubre juntos: Día de Muertos  
Monday, October 14, 2:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. 
Build your own shoebox-size ofrenda, an altar made to honor the life of a passed loved one, pet, or celebrity. Best for families with children ages 6 and older.
This program will be presented in English and Spanish.
