Long Way Gone A Long Way Gone
by Ishmael Beah
This book is about the lost boys in Africa. It is an action packed and violent true story about Ishmael’s journey. I would recommend this to those in grades 6-12.

Put Your Best Foot Forward Put Your Best Foot Forward: A Young Dancer’s Guide to Life
by Suki Schorer
I found this book very interesting and helpful for being a young ballerina. Do not read if you do not take ballet, it would be very confusing.

The Diary of a Young Girl
by Anne Frank
The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank is the personal diary of Anne, who grew into adulthood while in hiding from the Nazis in the attic of a work building. It takes you day to day in her life and shows a great example of the Nazi’s oppression against the Jews during WWII.

Project 17 Project 17
by Laurie Faria Stolarz
Project 17 is a great book about teens coming from all backgrounds and school groups to create a movie about a mental institution that is about to be destroyed. It’s a great, suspense-filled novel that all will enjoy.
