Book Trailer of the Week– Half Bad by Sally Green

This week’s book trailer of the week is for Half Bad by Sally Green.  In Nathan’ world good and evil are clearly defined: either you are a black witch or a white witch.  What happens when someone is both black and white?  That is the case for Nathan.  He was born as an illegitimate son of a white witch mother and a black witch father.  His punishment?  He is sentenced to live in a cage and beaten regularly.  Nathan is constantly looking for a way to escape, as his captors are waiting until he turns 17 and will receive his gifts.  However, no one is sure whether Nathan will be a good witch or a bad witch, but both sides want him!  What happens when Nathan escapes his cage, a month before he turns 17..?  Click here to find Half Bad in the Library!

Book Trailer of the Week– You Killed Wesley Payne by Sean Beaudoin

This week’s book trailer of the week is for You Killed Wesley Payne by Sean Beaudoin.  This novel, written in the classic noir style, has all the classic characters to make it a good read.  Dalton Rev, the main character, is a traditional hard-boiled detective and at seventeen-years-old is trying to solve the mystery in his high school of who killed Wesley Payne.  Found hanging from the school’s goal post, Payne was involved in something that led to his murder.  Suspects are abound, including the jocks, the rockers, and the nerds.  Can Dalton solve the murder?  Click here to find You Killed Wesley Payne in the Library!

Book Trailer of the Week– Beautiful Lies by Jessica Warman

This week’s book trailer of the week is for Beautiful Lies by Jessica Warman.  This thrilling mystery centers on twin sisters, Alice and Rachel, and their seemingly psychic bond.  This bond allows each other to feel what the other feels.  When Alice goes missing, Rachel is sure that something is wrong and can feel that her twin is in pain.  Fighting to find Alice before it is too late, Rachel worries about her own mental state.  Twists and turns are abound in this novel, and it won’t be until the very last page that reader’s learn the truth about Alice’s disappearance.  Click here to find Beautiful Lies in the Library!

Book Trailer of the Week– Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick

This week’s book trailer of the week is for Midwinterblood by Marcus SedgwickMidwinterblood is the 2014 winner of the Printz Award, the award for excellence in teen literature from the American Library Association. An interesting, yet hard to explain novel, Midwinterblood tells the interconnected stories of two main characters Eric and Merle.  Set in different time periods, all the stories have similarities but not one story is the same as the others.  In the end you may end up with more questions than answers, but this book gets you thinking about reincarnation and what is the common thread between us all?  Click here to find Midwinterblood in the Library!
