Books don’t always have to tell a story to be valuable. With some, you can make up your own tale or even play a game! That’s why I loved Sense Suspense: A Guessing Game for the Five Senses by Bruce McMillan. Little ones see a photo portion of an object and guess what sense they would use with it. They turn the page to see if they’ve guessed right when they see the picture as a whole. Talk about the pictures, make up your own story, speed through or take as long as you want–a fun take on picture books!
