The Bread Winner by Deborah Ellis

syndetics-lcThe Bread Winner It is a really good book. It is about a 12 year old girl named Parvana who lives in Afaganastan. In Afganastan the Taliban our in a war with all the people. People\’s houses are destroyed and some children die and their families too. It is a sad story. I feel so lucky when I read it because I know that my life here is amazing and wonderful. If you want to found out what happens to Parvana read the book. It is  trilogy. The second book is called Parvana\’s Journey and the last book is called Mud City. Hopefully you check it out.

Join Our Summer Reading Program

Reading Is So Delicious runs June 1 through July 31. Children ages 11 and under– come fill your belly with the books you crave, and you’ll be earning scrumptious prizes along the way. Every child receives a book log and sticker upon signing up, and a free book for finishing the challenge!

No matter your reading level, we have a program that will work for you. Read With Me is for beginning readers and children who do not read on their own. We even have special prizes for babies and toddlers whose parents are reading to them. I Read is for children who read independently.
