The full-time position of Readers’ Advisor is available for a passionate reader of adult fiction who possesses strong technology skills. Under the supervision of the Readers’ Advisory Librarian, the Readers’ Advisor acts as lead blogger for the adult fiction section of the Library web page and provides training and troubleshooting for the Library’s eBook collection. The Readers’ Advisor also plans and leads adult book discussion groups and other fiction-related programs, as well as staffing a busy public service desk assisting adult and teen patrons with books, movies, and music. The Readers’ Advisor will work with other members of the Readers’ Advisory team to select fiction titles, create patron- oriented advisory materials, and facilitate reading programs. The position requires strong communication and public service skills. Bachelor’s degree required. Annual pay $30,810

Part-time position available. The Workroom Assistant is responsible for performing computer check-ins, minor clerical duties, and shelving library materials in the workroom. It requires the ability to access, input and retrieve data from the computer; ability to retrieve information and materials from shelves; ability to perform medium to heavy work. High School diploma required. Computer & keyboarding skills required. Clerical experience. Bilingual a plus. $10.30 hourly pay.
