What the Friends Provides

In 2013, the Friends raised approximately $35,700 from the sale of used books and other donated items. We gave the Library over $24,700 in gifts and support for numerous programs. These included:

  • All Adult and Youth Reading Programs
  • The Baby Talk Program
  • Film and book discussions
  • The annual Teddy Bear Walk
  • Adult Craft Programs
  • South Branch Programming
  • Youth Authors Special Programming
  • National Library Week
  • Money Smart Week
  • Senior Session: Still Acting Up

Since 1982 the Friends has raised more than $600,000 for gifts to the Library. The Friends fundraising provides the Library with equipment, programs, services and other materials that it might not be able to buy otherwise.
