Youth Library Assistant (Full Time) – Youth Services Department

Full-time position available. The Youth Services Library Assistant is responsible for planning/presenting programs, providing outreach to home daycares, overseeing the teen volunteer program, staffing the public service desk, and selecting materials. Bachelor’s degree required. Experience with children required. $30, 500 annual pay. Benefits and IMRF.

Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday   8:30 am to 5 pm
Wednesday   12:30 pm to 9 pm or 1:30 pm to 10 pm

Approximately one weekend per month:
Saturday   9 am to 5 pm
Sunday   noon to 5 pm

Part-time position available. Individual will patrol the Library facility and grounds as well as assisting In-Charge staff with security enforcement. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and experience dealing with the public. High school diploma required. Some college preferred. Computer competency required and education, training or certification in security or law enforcement is a plus. $18.00 per hour.

Part-time schedule:
Selected weekday evenings 5:30 to 10:30 pm
Rotating weekends Saturday and Sunday 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Full-time position available. Duties include installation, maintenance and minor repair of all computers and their peripherals. Performs on-call computer help desk duties for staff and patrons. Requires thorough knowledge of Windows, Linux, standard office and internet application software. Excellent communication skills, HS diploma required. Summer Reading Assistant – Fiction/AV/Teen Department

Part-time position available from May 31 to August 1. Primary responsibility will include assisting at the public desk for the adult and young adult summer reading programs. Will assist teens and adults with sign-ups, including recording progress, handing out prizes, maintaining summer reading supply inventory and other summer reading tasks.  Will also assist librarians with teen programming, outreach, and other duties as assigned. High school diploma required. $10.72 per hour.

Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday   1 pm to 5 pm or 2 pm to 5 pm
Saturday   noon to 4 p.m.
Some flexibility needed at the beginning and end of Summer Reading Program.

Assistant to the Director of IT Services – IT Services Department

Part time position available.  This position supports the Director of IT Services with administrative, project and purchasing responsibilities.  Includes creating, monitoring and follow up on Help Desk requests; tracking of orders, packing slips and invoices for IT Services purchases; tracking and recording purchase records; assisting with equipment tracking and inventory; monitoring inventory and ordering Department office supplies; maintaining vendor records; and clerical support tasks for Department. Required:  excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and technical project organization, knowledge and skills; computer troubleshooting skills. Must be able to work independently.  Benefits and IMRF.  Bachelor’s Degree required.  Pay $15 per hour. Schedule (25 hours a week):  Weekday, daytime hours (mornings preferred)
